The big kids went back the Tuesday right after Labour Day - Teagan to grade 6 and Caden to grade 3. Duncan had "staggered entry" to kindergarten and didn't have his first day until Monday the 17th! Everyone has a teacher they like (Teagan and Caden have a husband and wife teaching them and they don't even go to the same school and Caden has a kindergarten teacher named Mrs Murray, which was very weird for me) and friends in their class.
Extracurriculars are back in full force too. Teagan and Caden are dancing competitively and have 7 and 8 3/4 hours a week at the dance studio respectively. They are both running cross country this fall at school and Teagan has joined the band (TUBA!) and student leadership. Duncan is doing gymnastics and karate with skating lessons to start later in October. It sounds very busy (and let's face it, it is) but the logistics are coming together nicely with family dinner happening several times a week and time for homework and just relaxing.
