Alaska!

Wow, it's been 2 months since I posted anything! The time has gone by in a blur, really! I have lots to say and pictures to share but let me start with the most recent, because it's super awesome. Brian and I went away, by ourselves, to Alaska courtesy of my Dad and Kay who not only booked the trip for us but also stayed with the kids for 8 days!

We sailed on the MS Volendam out of Vancouver.

In Juneau we biked around Auke Lake, which was gorgeous and lots of fun!

In Skagway we took a helicopter ride up to a glacier...

... and went dog sledding!

We also took a ferry over to Haines for some photography lessons....

Where we saw bald eagles fishing in the river.

We went into Glacier Bay national park to the Marjorie glacier which is enormous! We saw it calve a 100 foot iceberg. Truly spectacular.

We also saw a ton of sea life including curious sea otters who floated right by the ship and stared at us!

And lots and lots of humpback whales.

In Ketchikan we went zip lining in the Tongas rainforest.

The kids had so much fun with Grandpa and Omi they forgot to miss us. A great vacation!
