Flat Stanley?

If you've ever had a second grader, chances are you've read the book Flat Stanley. It's the story of a little boy rendered flat by a bulletin board falling on him. Classes of second graders across the globe read this book and send their own flat creations out to friends and relations and ask them to tour Stanley around their area and send back information about where they live. It's a great way to tie language arts and social studies together.

Well we're hosting my friend Melanie's son Cameron's Stanley! He's been to school, to Brownies, to the zoo (we forgot the camera), to a mutual friend of mine and Melanie's daughter's first birthday party (say that one 5 times fast). The kids are loving him! Tomorrow he's going to sell Girl Guide cookies with Teagan! We're also going to grab some postcards for the CN tower and Niagara Falls before sending him back. Teagan is excited to write all about her city. She even made Stanley a rain hat, umbrella and boots so he can go back appropriately attired for the weather here.

Fun!
