Yesterday, at the park, Caden found THIS rock.

His friend Luke told him that it was a piece of a meteorite AND that if he put it under his pillow, the tooth fairy would come. While I have no idea why the tooth fairy wants pieces of asphalt (ahem, meteorite), no amount of convincing from me was going to persuade Caden away from this big idea.
Since my objections, apart from the obvious truthfulness one, were the dirt in his bed and the chance of whacking himself in the head while sleeping and waking himself up repeatedly - it's a big rock - we eventually compromised and put the rock in a ziplock bag and he promised to put it under the pillow he does not sleep on.
Luckily for me, he forgot ALL about it come bedtime and I was spared having to decide whether the tooth fairy really DID pay for meteorites and what the going rate for such items might be. For now.
