On Christmas Eve every year the kids get new pjs and a new book to help them fall asleep on this most exciting night. This year, they were headed up for bed without a present yet and wondering how that was possible when, lo and behold, there were gifts on their beds! The boys promptly decided the Christmas elf had visited secretly during the afternoon and sat down to write him a thank you letter (for Santa to take back with him, of course) as soon as they changed.

Here is Caden's letter to Santa (Duncan's was much more, well, random letters on a page!) and the cookie Duncan made at school for Santa (note every kind/colour of sprinkle known to man all on one cookie). I think Santa was afraid to eat it, but it WAS gone in the morning.
