Thanksgiving in NYC

This year instead of turkey, we decided to travel to the Big Apple to see some people we love and miss (and all the big city sights). We packed a TON of kid-friendly sight seeing into 3 days but of course Duncan's favorite thing was riding the subway!

We went to Time Square

And rode the ferris wheel in the giant Toys R Us

Went to the Museum of Natural History to see Rexy the dinosaur and the giant talking Easter Island head (from the Night at the Museum movie) and the really cool animal exhibits.

We rode the Statten Island ferry to see the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline.

Then we went to the Intrepid museum - it's on an old aircraft carrier and includes lots of fighter planes an old nuclear submarine too.

Even better, it has the Concorde AND a space shuttle!

We also spent time in lots of Central Park and Union Square parks.

We even got a sitter one night to have a fancy adults-only night out at the Rose Bar at the Gramercy Park Hotel and then dinner at the Mandarin Oriental restaurant. Fun!
