Lego Mania!

Today, the kids and I built lego almost all day long. Seriously. The big bin of lego that had been mine as a kid has been set up high for years and added to as the kids got new sets here and there. Because we had a baby and then a toddler in the house, the kids weren't allowed to get the lego down when he was awake, and the amount of noise they made pawing through the huge bin of bricks wasn't really conducive to doing while Duncan was asleep either! Add to the fact there was ALOT of lego in that rubbermaid bin and the kids could never find the specific piece they were looking for... well... not too much lego play has been going on here.

Yesterday, Meaghan gave us a set of plastic drawers. All 3 kids industriously sorted all of the lego by colour families into the drawers, thinking it would make it easier to find pieces (it is) and today they spent all day enjoying the fruits of their labour. In good news, Duncan doesn't eat lego! In bad news, I may never ever clean the house again because I'm having too much fun reliving my youth!
