March Break Fun

Well, I think the kids are enjoying their March break so far!

Sunday - Family trip to the zoo

Monday - Little theatre tickets to Circa (thanks Grandpa) with Jamie for the big kids. The boys had their Creative Movement and Art class in the morning too. After work, we went to every party store in Burlington looking for Super Mario party supplies. No dice but we got silly St Patty's necklaces so I was forgiven.

Tuesday - Jamie took all the kids to the sugar bush with some friends. They had a wonderful time watching maple syrup being made, eating maple taffy, and riding the tractor-drawn wagon. After work, we went to the second hand store to get Caden a spring coat (mission succesful) and they always love playing there for some reason.

Wednesday - No work for me so all fun all day! A morning playdate AND an afternoon playdate. Life is grand. We also went on a hunt for rubber boots in between playdates too (ah the joys of changing seasons and growing little feet and bodies!). The kids rode their scooters over to Zellers and then we got a milkshake to split from McDonald's on our way home (I was hoping for one of the St Patty's Shamrock shakes (remember those?) but apparently they don't make them here anymore *sigh*). Teagan got size 2 Barbie boots and Caden got size 12 boots with cars and trucks on them because apparently the $11 plain colour ones apparently only go to size 10. Weird! On the way there, we passed to tow trucks - the big ones that tow big rigs - and the drivers let the kids look and were talking to them all about road safety. Maybe it'll sink in coming from someone other than me. I can hope! One GOOD thing about growing little feet is that they are also getting faster! A round trip to Zellers used to take a minimum of 1.5 hours and involved alot of whining. We did the whole thing in under an hour with no whining at all. In fact the kids were delighted to be out in the spring weather and delightful companions. Hooray!

Thursday - Jamie has tickets to a reptile show at the library so a library morning is the plan. Fun!

Friday - I'm not working so another playdate is in the works. The kids might just keel over from the fun!
