Teagan, my Dad, and I are walking in the Relay for Life this coming Friday to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society.
This past weekend we did a 2-day garage sale and lemonade stand to help our fundraising. We earned about $400, which isn't too shabby, especially considering the cold and miserable weather! Meaghan earned another $200 raffling off a beautiful quilt she made (I hope we win it for Teagan's bed! I should buy more tickets!). Add in all the pledges we've received, we're up to almost $4000 as a team!
If you are reading this and have not pledged us yet, I'll be pushy and say you can give here:
Teagan
Heather
You can see the kids and their lemonade stand on our team page here with their friend Lexi whose whole family is walking with us because her mom (my friend Meaghan, who is our team captain for the Relay this year) fought breast cancer and won. That's something worth celebrating.
