*sigh*
So when last I blogged about the dishwasher saga, we were waiting for a new motor. It DID finally come. Weeks later. Only it didn't fix the problem. Again. So I called customer service who wanted to send yet another technician. Ummm.... no. I finally got ahold of someone who actually knew what she was talking about and within 48 hours I was told I had a credit at our local Sears Home store to go pick out a new dishwasher.
Well, with kids in tow we were there when we opened this morning. Do we have a credit on file? Nope! The store has no idea. So after they call customer service they tell us it'll be another few days before they can process the credit and let us pick out a new dishwasher. Again.... no. We're not waiting anymore! Especially since they told us on Wednesday the credit was at the store!!! So Brian calls customer service who assure him that the credit IS in fact at the store.
Who to believe? Who to believe?
At this point the boys are running amok, popping display balloons, and sobbing over random slights. It's time to go. So I brought the kids home and left Brian at the store with strict instructions not to leave without a dishwasher ordered, paid for, and an installation appointment scheduled. At the rate this is going, he may never come home.

You need to write a statement explaining the situation and gather signatures of all the people who are aware of it and will think twice before they will buy anything from Sears in the future.

I want to scream on your behalf. Can you call that magic number again and have them call the store directly?
