A day in the life...

Today in Teagan's classroom it is pioneer day! She has been so excited in the days leading up. A costume had to be procured (thank you Value Village) right down to the shoes, and Mommy had to sew and apron and a hat (which, despite my poor sewing skills I did finally pull off). She even wanted a pioneer lunch with plain foods wrapped in wax paper.

By contrast, today was backwards day at Duncan's preschool. He refused to put on his shirt backwards saying "I only like forwards". He finally agreed to the backwards hat but when asked to pose for a picture ran in circles with his tongue out yelling "FORWARDS!". Right, then!

And yes, days like today are both fun for me to help the kids plan for and also a little crazy-making. I spent most of the day yesterday sewing and the wax paper lunch wrappers this morning, not my forte for sure. Add in that tonight is BINGO night at the big kids school and well, there goes my day! Good thing we're coming up on a long weekend!
