Sugar bush!

 

 

 

Boy were we pushing it this year! It's April for heaven's sake and we normally head out there in the snow! But we made it on the very last weekend of sugar bush season which was still open despite the fact the sap has been done for over a week. They also had Easter activities at our favorite conservation area so 2 birds with 1 stone.

We went up with my friend Sue and her husband and 2 boys. My camera died after the first 15 minutes, of course, so I will have to rely on Sue and Cameron's good graces to send pictures of the egg hunt, horse-drawn carriage ride, maple candy, pancake feast, chicks and bunnies and goats, and all-around silliness of 5 kids outside on a beautiful spring day! For now, you'll have to make do with pictures from the play barn.

Speaking of the barn... I had to put all the kids in the shower the second we got home because the hay all over them was making my eyes water and my nose itch! We're going to have a pyjama movie party now to justify me making them change into pjs before 5 PM. ;)
