The day after Duncan's party, was Caden's party! He chose a Pokemon theme which was wonderful news for me. My friend Sue had thrown the perfect Pokemon party for her son Trevor last year and, being sensible and frugal, had kept all of the activities she'd made and planned! So, I simply recreated Sue's great party for 10 little boys at my house.
First, the kids designed their own pokemon. Some of them weren't that keen while others sat at the table until I made them move to set it for lunch designing wonderfully creative imaginary friends.
Then we played pin the tail on Pikachu and feed Munchlax (a bean bag toss sort of game).
While we were at lunch, Teagan hid all of the pokeballs for a treasure hunt. They are ping pong balls coloured with a red sharpie. I went through 3 red sharpies over a couple of days doing them!!
Of course before we could hunt, there was cake to be eaten. Caden had asked for Pokemon and nobody makes such a cake so I braved making my own with a picture off the Internet as my guide. I don't think it turned out half bad!
Our last event of the day was Pokemon Bingo. Teagan was the interpid caller.
And then of course the boys just played and played and played... it was so nice to see Caden surrounded by such wonderful friends!!
